Our Story
WindowTree Stationery started as an offer to a friend.
Hi, I’m Alyson
Before I was born, my parents asked my 4 year old brother what to name his new sibling. He looked to the side and came back with: WindowTree!
Fortunately my parents didn’t take his suggestion, but I sure did when trying to name my business.
As a high school graduate and soon to be college music major in the midst of a global pandemic, I found myself with a large amount of free time. Being a musician, I was constantly overbooked and disorganized, trying to find the perfect planner. I tried keeping a weekly bullet journal but if I hadn’t planned in advance I kept falling behind and inevitably giving up. When the world became shut down and all my plans got cancelled, I looked towards the future.
A friend and I were talking about planners and she said she was going to go buy one until I had an idea and offered to design a custom book for her in my free time. After about two weeks I gave her the book and she, alongside my family and other friends, suggested I sell the custom books. After getting serious interest and a few orders in a Facebook post, I decided to take this up a notch.
Named after a family joke, WindowTree Stationery is a fun way to fill my free time - not spent practicing - and help others.
